The number of intermediate and transitional links between all living and extinct species must have been inconceivably great (Charles Darwin) Should be as many transitional fossils that show the gradual changes. There are no intermediate fossils! Geology assuredly does not reveal any such finely-graduated organic chain; and this, perhaps, is the most obvious and series objection which can be urged against the theory.
